How to add a local admin

If you have multiple users on a single device, but only one has Admin privileges, you will experience Administrator Permission pop-ups which can at times be very frustrating. Should other users on this device be trusted you can provide them with Administrator privilege so these pop-ups stop.

On the device in question;
  1. Log in with the Administrator Account
  2. Go to Settings > Other Users > Add a work or school user
  3. Enter the email address of the person you will be adding administrator permissions to
  4. In the Account type dropdown, select Administrator
  5. Sign in with the new Administrator Account
  6. If the security pop-ups still appear, restart your device and log back in as the new Administrator Account
